The agreement between you and Y.I.N. Technologies LLC for use of YIN-AI CERTIFICATION.

These terms are between you, or the organization you represent, and Y.I.N. Technologies LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we", "us"). By creating an account or calling the API you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.
YIN-AI CERTIFICATION issues cryptographically signed certificates about decisions made by AI systems, evaluated against the Authority Confidence Rating framework, and provides a free offline tool for verifying them.
This section matters more than any other. Read it.
A certificate is evidence you can hand to a regulator or auditor. It is not legal advice, not a regulatory approval, and not a defense in itself. Whether any regulator accepts it in your specific circumstances is a matter for that regulator. You remain responsible for your own compliance.
The accuracy of a certificate depends entirely on the accuracy of what you submit. Submitting false or incomplete information produces a validly signed certificate of false information, and that is your responsibility, not ours.
Full details are on the pricing page. Requests beyond your tier's monthly allowance are declined until the allowance resets or you move to a higher tier. We may apply rate limits to keep the service available for everyone.

You keep everything you submit, and you keep the certificates issued to you. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to process your submission, issue and store the certificate, and keep it available to you.
We keep ownership of the platform, the software and the brand. The Authority Confidence Rating framework is published independently and citable at Zenodo DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19361421; the certificate references that public standard, which is why verification does not depend on trusting us.
The offline verifier is distributed under its own license, included with the download.
We work to keep the service available and publish its state at /status, but the free and Developer tiers are provided without a guaranteed service level. Enterprise agreements may include one. We may change or discontinue features; if we make a material change we will give registered users reasonable notice.
Certificates already issued do not depend on our availability. They verify offline, with the published verifier, without contacting us. That is deliberate: if we disappear tomorrow, your certificates still verify.
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred United States dollars.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case those exclusions do not apply to you.
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the service in breach of these terms, from content you submit, or from how you present a certificate to a third party.
You can close your account at any time by writing to us. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is being used to attack the service, or where we are required to by law. Where circumstances allow, we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your certificates.
If we close your account, sections 3, 7, 9, 10 and 12 survive.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The courts of Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief anywhere to protect its intellectual property. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory rights and forums your local law gives you.
We may update these terms. The date at the top always shows the current version. If a change materially affects your rights we will email registered users before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
